Colourful Images Of Everything Around Us
The Importance of Colour In Art

For starters, it has emotional impact. Colour is the first element people notice. It sets the mood, evokes emotion, and creates an immediate connection. In landscapes, the right palette can transport viewers to Wiltshire’s rolling hills or the vibrant coastlines of Wales. For wildlife and botanicals, colour brings character and vitality, making each subject memorable.

Secondly, colour can create a sense of storytelling and place.  This work is deeply rooted in British geography. Colour choices reflect the unique light, weather, and atmosphere of each region—Sussex’s soft pastels, Wiltshire’s lush greens, or the dramatic blues of South Wales. Colour becomes a visual language, telling the story of place and season

And finally, artistic innovation. As we like to blend traditional and digital methods, colour is where this innovation shines: digital tools allow for precision and vibrancy, while traditional techniques add depth and authenticity.
